Flower Quilt to Celebrate Mom :-)

Hi Stampers!

I wanted to create one more card before the new work week started, so I decided to use the Pals Paper Arts PPA158 Color Challenge along with the JAI164 Sketch Challenge and Stampin’ Royalty SR174 Celebrating Mom Theme Challenge.

Again, all three challenge sites have wonderful Design Team samples and the other entries are fabulous- I hope you will take the time to visit :-)

To create this fun, easel card:

Using the Splitcoaststampers'  Easel Card tutorial- create the easel card base and cut another piece of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" Whisper White cardstock for the card front.

Punch out 1 1/4" squares from three different Designer Series Paper (I used retired Spice Cake, Everyday Enchantment and Sycamore Street) and adhere the squares to a smaller piece of Whisper White (approx 4" x 4") using the Two-Way Glue Pen.  Add the ½” Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon triple bow and sentiment and layer this panel onto Lucky Limeade cardstock (approx 4 1/8" x 4 1/8") and again onto the 4 ¼” x 4 ¼” Whisper White Easel Card base.

To create the flowers- From Pool Party cardstock, punch out one large flower using the Blossom Punch and five scallop circles- one- 1 ¼”,  one- 1 ¾” and three - 7/8".  From the outside of each scallop, using Paper Snips cut a wavy spiral following  the outside circle to the center to create rolled flowers (see tutorial).

Front view
To create the large flower- emboss the Blossom Punch flower using the Lacy Brocade Textured Impressions™ Folder.  Create the rolled flower center using the small 1 1/4" rolled flower within the 1 3/4" rolled flower.  Adhere the rolled flower center  to the center of the embossed Blossom Punch flower using Mini Glue Dots and add the Pearl to the center to finish off the large flower.

Adhere the sentiment layer on the lower third of the easel card and add the three 7/8” rolled flowers above the layer with Pearl centers using Mini Glue Dots.

Stamp Sets: All Holidays, Messages for Mom (both MDS)

Ink:  Printer Ink- Black

Paper: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Designer Series Paper- Everyday Enchantment, Spice Cake, Sycamore Street (retired)

Accessories:  Big Shot™,  Lacy BrocadeTextured Impressions™ Embossing  Folder, Punches- 1 ¼” Square, Decorative Label, Blossom, Scallop Circle- 7/8”, 1 ¼”, 1 ¾”; Pearls, ½” Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon

Thanks again for stopping by - I hope all of you have a blessed week!
